It's been a good and bad year in our home for football.
My wife, being native to Nebraska is a big Nebraska Cornhusker fan. And if you follow College ball, you know that Nebraska was one of the biggest disappointments of the year. They didn't even finish at .500 this year. The AD and the coaches were fired. Perhaps in a couple more years they'll be a good team again.
On the flip side, my wife has adopted the New England Patriots. Growing up in Massachusettes, I became familure with disapointment, with exception of 1985 when the Pats got crushed by the Bears in the Superbowl, the Pats have had a history of being a second rate team.
That ofcourse all change in the late 90's with a few playoff appearences including another Superbowl loss. Then one fateful day, Drew Bedsore went down to injury and a then unknown Tom Brady led them to their first Superbown win in Francise history.
Now, nearing the completion of a historic undefeted season, I must say as a fan it's been a great ride, and I wish the season would never come to an end.
