What Kind of Name is "Chase The Chuckwagon"? Hey all, I thought for some of you younger folks, it might be interesting to know where our name ChaseTheChuckwagon.com came from. As some of you probably are aware, back in the late 70's or maybe early 80's Ralston Purina Company had a brand of dog food called "Chuckwagon" dogfood. One of their promotions was to give away an Atari 2600 Game called "Chase The Chuckwagon" to consumers who bought a required amount of the dog food and mailed in the packages UPC symbol. Basically, the promotion failed and supposedly very few of these Atari cartridges made it out into consumers hands. Thus is became known as extremely rare with Atari Collectors. This helped become the original "Holy Grail" for video game collectors and soon the name Chase The Chuckwagon became synonomous with the hunt we are all on to find rare and unique items for our collections. So now, you know its not just some crazy name, but has a true meaning for hunting down and finding collectible gaming items. Once I discovered this URL was available, I bought it and the ChaseTheChuckwagon.com Auction site was born.
