Hi
I have a SNES PAL 1chip with picture but no sound (tested with both av-multi out and rf-out)
I've changed all the capacitors but that didn't help, then I soldered an rca cable to the right audio channel from the DAC-chip (UPD6379) and there was sound :-)
So I'm guessing that the S-Mix chip is dead.
What do the S-Mix chip do?
Could there be any problem in the future if I just bypass the S-Mix chip?

Thanks :-)

As far as I have know after a little research on the internet,
the S-Mix chip is mixing the sound channels coming from the APU, some extra cartridge pins and the expansion port.
Anyone which can confirm that?
And is it possible to make a replacement mixing circuit for the S-Mix chip?
