I've been having this problem the past month or so. There's this weird black gunk building up near the center of the screen, but it doesn't look like dead pixels or broken lcds, as it appears on the screen itself. When under a bright light, it casts a shadow, so it's obviously between the glass and the screen itself. Does anybody know what this is, and possibly how to fix it? Any help is welcomed.

It's called LCD cancer usually (I think), once it's there it's there forever. I'm not sure on how fast it spreads or if it spreads at all but you cant get rid of it.

It's probably just the screen decomposing, it happens to everything sooner or later. I don't think there's any fix, just use that GB as a parts unit to fix one that's still good.
