Final Fantasy III before Final Fantasy II. Jeez, did you put any care at all into that collection or did you just throw some games up on to the shelf randomly?

Just random shelf chuckin!   i think its cuz those 2 have box protectors, lol. Still need to invest in some more box protectors. Only have like 6 or 7 for random more expensive titles! XD

Probably my collection of Capcom labeled variant MM6 games. They completed my NES/SNES/GB MM collection + variants

Disregard my previous post. I'd have to say that this is now the gem of my collection:

My gems are just the games I owned as a kid that I still have today (all of which are still CIB). Games like Super Mario Bros. 1, 2 and 3. Rad Racer. Super Metroid. Super Mario World 1 and 2. These games will always be the most important to me because I will never forget what it was like to get these games for the first time and play them. The fact that I've been fortunate enough to hold on to them all of these years just makes it that much more special.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Got a good story behind it...?

It's not one I owned as a kid, though it's one of my gems because I found a minty copy at a local game store for much lower than retail. Very fun game!

My German "Game Boy Top 10" sign, with a row of said games in display cards contained in small plastic "pockets" (think those small cases you would store a rare pokemon/magic card in - that sort of thing but except even better) and numbers from 1 to 10 under each card. The cards themselves also have some game description on their back in german wich can be read if you flip the cards upward.

The sign is big, long, stylish and seems to be somewhat unique considering i've never seen it before or after. If it only was designed for the German advertising campaign and never appeared in the huge catalogue of American display signs it's even better.

Some amazing stuff in here guys! I love how what one person considers a gem varies greatly from one to another. Some people it's just a common NES game that they've owned since they were a kid and cherish it, while others it's a super rare title worth thousands!

honestly? It's my childhood copy of mario 3. It's the only original childhood collection cart I have.

Also my copy of stadium events, but not because of the value. Because it's the only thing in my collection my wife bought for me.

Yeah, its always fun seeing the different stuff on display.

As far as actual games, at the moment its my first edition sealed SMB

realistically though its well down my list as there's various pieces of original artwork I much prefer to it including this mega man.

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

the original painting used for the box art of mega man 7. Like the guy painted that, handed it to Capcom, and they made the box with it

I can't even imagine owning something like this and displaying it. Bronty has some amazing pieces in his collection, jealous no doubt.

Dude, that is probably the most unique video game item I've ever seen.  What other original video game art do you have?  I can't say I've ever seen any other pieces.

My gem is definitely my Gundam char wavebird controller. Easily my favorite piece. Only 1000 of them in existence and it's one of only four styles of wavebird controllers. Plus it's red and just looks frickin awesome.

I would go with this, if I still had it

My aunt, who lives two states away, worked in a little video store that only had one location. When Super Mario 3 came out, I guess it was so big that they couldn't get enough copies. So in the mean time, they had to find a workaround, of which we (my brother and I) later reaped the benefits... for Christmas, we received, in a Gramaphone Video clamshell, a Famicom copy of SMB3 with NES pin adaptor. And that is how I grew up playing Mario 3, with Japanese text and a cartridge nobody else had. I loved how it was unique in our collection and the different label was so cool, with not just Mario but also showing the castle and all the enemies!

Strangely, the cartridge was white. Every copy I have seen since getting back into NES is yellow.
