My point was that 17k was far and away the highest known public sale at that point. They were going for like 10 and then sold that one for 17k and we all laughed at the buyer and now he’s the one laughing. The price has skyrocketed, so good for him!

You must have forgot when these things cooled to $10-$12k too?  Or when DreamTR sold one absurdly high ($25k?) and then bought it back from the same guy for half price when he got shaken out of the hobby.  Who knows if that buyer even still owns the item, these things turn over fairly frequently.

When did they cool to 10-12k? That Nolan sale was like 2 years ago, right? Did a bunch go for cheaper after that? We’ve had a member here offering significantly more for like a year. Now, assuming this is legit, a 23k offer for a blah condition one. And I think one sold at a convention for 25k last year.

Was that 25k a gray, or was it the gold that sold for 100k and was sold right after to 50k?

A couple changed hands in the low to mid teens this last year. I've had a bounty up for awhile in the $21-22K range, but to be fair, it doesn't involve all cash. I was looking to trade a stadium events plus cash for one. Nobody up to this point has been interested.

Just out of curiousity, have you considered just selling the stadium Events and just offer the cash?

-------------------------

Got any of these for sale? Sell them to me. I also buy other NES Publisher inserts, and even GB/GBC, and SNES inserts too.

I feel like it's good trade bait to maybe shake one loose. Sometimes it's easier for a seller to move a $12-13K cart, than a $20K cart outright

Easier, maybe, but still not exactly easy unless you have networking to line up a buyer. I mean, they're both five figure cartridges.

What a strange market. Some sell for 12k and others for 25?

So few change hands that the market is pretty much what the buyer and seller agree on a price at that particular time.

There are so many factors that come into play with the sell price of these things: timing, availability, how badly the buyer wants it, how badly the seller wants to sell it, condition of the item, and so on. It's fairly tough to nail the "right" price for something like this, especially when the market is limited to a small pool of big ballers who probably already own it.

It does seem like a LITTLE bit of an overcomplication. Not meaning to bag on you, but just an observation... Trading loose SE plus cash up to equivalent value of NWC seems logical, but you've got the psychological factor here of trading a much rarer item for a less rare item, plus cash which is probably NOT a huge deal for someone who owns an item like NWC. I myself, of course, do not own either, but if you offered me the choice between NWC or SE plus equivalent cash, I'd take the NWC all day.

Not good trade bait for an NWC..... anything else sure but not an NWC.

NWC caters to a very Niche market. Yes it has its place in Nintendo history, but so does SE. At least you need SE for a complete NA NES set. Maybe somebody with an NWC wants to throw together a complete NES set 😉

nah, it was pulled back by nintendo. im on the side of the fence that if you're collecting an official set... well nintendo doesn't see it as part of that set so why would I? Its basically a recall. cool but not necessary. Either way i'll never have a set, but i wouldn't count if i did

And that's completely fair. However, an awful lot of people consider it necessary for a full set

SE is on Nintendo’s official list that’s counts for the set. Not that the list is not missing two or three other games that were released by them but it’s on their official list

After going through yet another folder in my PC, I've confirmed more NWCs with photos from the web.

P.S. #0026 is extremely blurry but I can't find another picture for it. The only reason I know it's #0026 is because the owner (previous owner?) says so.

The “list” you are welcome to Google it.... it’s the oldest list in the book and can be even found even on Nintendo site. That’s PDF maybe almost 20 years old now.

(P.S. Someone REALLY needs to find some ending in 4, or 9)

I would be interested in getting a set of the photos you have.  You have some I don't have pictures for and I have pictures of some that you don't.  Up for a swap?

Sounds like a fair trade, although I'm not keeping anything a secret here

PM me your email address again since I lost it. I'll send you the full set I have.

Got any of these for sale? Sell them to me. I also buy other NES Publisher inserts, and even GB/GBC, and SNES inserts too.

Seems like they pulled the PDFs but here they are in a Reddit post:

Those .pdf's are neat... I was looking for something a little more "official" from Nintendo. Like the ones that seemingly have been pulled.

I've interwebbed it already... hence requesting the link.

What your looking for doesn’t exist. That’s the “official” Nintendo list and still missing a few officially released games.
