CIB? No it's gotta be sealed before you get it signed

This will be another one of many Wii U games that follow the path of Hello Kitty. Maybe not to that extent, but this will be a pricey one. I think you could safely purchase about 1/2 of the Wii U library and make a profit in the next few years. There will be no more of these made. I've already sold a few Wii U games for over $100 USD.

No NCAA or metroid / windwaker in the pyramid? Capped off by an incomplete Pokemon box? The prophet is a lie! False prophet! (Seriously though, that pyramid does miss on a couple key GameCube games that will undoubtedly see the most rise in the coming years, if this whole "collecting" thing ever catches on)

Square Enix is reprinting PS1 games, they got a reprint of Yakuza 2 on the PS2 this year, the Wii had a ton of reprints. I'd be shocked if we don't see Wii U reprints.

We'll see. I don't see them reprinting crap like this, but you never know. One of those mystical eBay power sellers might show up with 1000 copies of any of these games at some point as well, but for now I'd imagine Wii U collecting is going to blow up over the next year or two. Having said that, I still only think there are 3 or 4 titles that are truly hard to come by on the system.

Can we please get back to talking about Jerry Rice and Nitus' Dog Football here for a few dozen more pages? I feel like we're just not giving Jerry Rice and Nitus' Dog Football its proper due here.

It's just football, if it was hockey I could see why people would want this.

Someone needs to get to work on the hockey version of this, complete with washed-up cover athlete (with his dog) and all:

Mark Messier and Barkus' Dog Hockey

I've got my sealed copy next to my disc only copy for investment purposes. Those $10 new copies on Ebay are going to run out any week now and this is easily going to be a $12 game.

So far, I have resisted the urge to buy this. How much has sealed copies of this game inflated since it was first mentioned in the "Final Wii game, a true rarity" thread? That is one to buy on the boxart alone, and I have heard the gameplay is not terrible doesn't change this fact.

Outside of Metroid/Wind Waker, Fire Emblum and Gotcha Force I have no interest in those games. I think I've side this before I see no point in games that are rare but aren't fun to play.

Give me any of these any day of the week over those rare/boring games:
Metroid Prime
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Starfox Adventures
Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone
Starfox Assault
The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age (Gamecube version is the best)
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Custom Robo (criminally underrated gem)
The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Ed.
Ikaruga
Mega Man X Collection
Wario World
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Baten Kaitos Origins
Tales of Symphonia
Lost Kingdoms 2
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean
Chaos Fields
Skies of Arcadia: Legends
Lost Kingdoms
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Resident Evil 4
Mega Man X: Command Mission
X2: Wolverine's Revenge
Evolution Worlds
Hunter: The Reckoning
Spirits and Spells
Star Wars: Jedi Outcast - Jedi Knight II
Bomberman: Jetters
Resident Evil: Code Veronica X
Beyond Good and Evil
Dr. Muto
Samurai Jack: The Shadow of Aku
Freedom Fighters
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: Mutant Nightmare
Def Jam: Fight for NY

I rather spend a couple hundred on a few of those^^^ than a game like Cubivore or NCAA whatever. No disrespect to those that do collect for them but I see no point in owning a rare game if its going to be putting me to sleep (I'm looking directly at you Stadium Events).

Almost every system has just a handful of hard to come by games while its still out and relevant. Wii u will have quite a few in a few years.

NES  634 (330 Manuals 317 Boxes)
Wii U 156 /160(incl. Starfox Guard & Bayonetta 1)
SNES 300

Original Gameboy 48

Never said I had all the preciouses. I don't buy expensive stuff just to buy expensive stuff. I got all of those games in the pyramid for below $100 believe it or not.

Oh Scroogie Scrooge, so those are the games you want? I can get you pictures of

Metroid Prime

Starfox Assault
Custom Robo (criminally underrated gem)

I'm surprised at how under the radar Soul Bubbles for Nintendo DS is. It was exclusive to Toys R Us, and was critically praised upon its release. Interesting and unique concept as well. I'm guessing that once the supply dries up the next couple years it will see a significant spike.

Agreed.  I saw Metal Jesus talk about this game as a hidden gem and also a Toys R Us exclusive and picked one up for cheap.  In addition to potentially being uncommon, it's a good game even though it's not a genre I'm extremely fond of.

Gotta love those NA lurkers. Speculative buyers are the worst, but are we part of the problem by handing out free suggestions?

Do people just believe "investment" advice on a whim?? I hope these people don't click those penny stock ads promising hot tips. A dozen $12 NIB copies in stock at Amazon, 30+ used copies, over a dozen on Ebay... It's definitely primed to explode in price!
