And shouldn't you be posting a Trog score?

I'm on vacation with my wife, haven't had a chance to play yet! Gonna play tomorrow when she's out with her family.

Excuses to snipe a score at last minute tomorrow!
Good choice on picking your priorities. Wife comes before a web video game contest.

Haha no snipes from me! Weekend is often my best chance to get some gaming in.

Happy wife, happy life!

Is there a trick to consistently surviving the jumping Trogs? For me the difficulty spikes at around stage 15 and I know that I'm going to keep dying at that point. I don't know how people are getting so far.

Stay well and far away from them. Prioritize staying away over even progress if you're having trouble. If you're near one, they have a high chance of jumping a space or two toward you, and a short jump is fast and deadly. Far jumps are easy to avoid.

On top of that, when they DO land near you, go onto the spot they landed (if no other danger is nearby), as they cannot jump back onto the same spot, and one won't jump to where another is already, so it's as safe a space as safe gets.

Also if you JUST wanna complete the game and aren't going for low score (probably still a guaranteed top 8), go ahead and grab them pineapples broheem.

I doubt that I'll complete this game. Some people have Trog brains and some people don't.

Can't find my cart and I really don't have the time to spare this week, so this might have to do. Bummer, as this seems like a pretty fun game.

Are we going to find out soon what games we'll be playing in the tournament? I need to know so I can buy them and get some practice in.

Yeah the sooner the better for me too.  I had to order two of them off eBay last time, and I'm sure it will be the same this year

I am curious about them as well. I want to know how doomed I am.
Cue to Megaman 2, one life and progress being the final game.

Please God no. Lol.

Odds for that are very unlikely, since tracking progress and lives used would be a nightmare.
But I dread if they come to find a way to do so. Megaman 2 is one game I just can't break.
My brain freezes at Metalman. I can see his pattern a mile away and I can't react to beat it.

I just don't like the Mega Man games, aside from Legend. xD

Sadly today didn't work out to be the big Trog-filled day I had hoped.

Between having to go half way across the city to find a Tofurky Roast for tomorrow, having to pick up litter for my rabbit, and being thrust into a Call of Duty Tournament AND having to participate in another contest on another forum, I only managed to find about an hour to play Trog.

Progress: Level 37
Score: 1,935,030

I couldn't even get to stage 20 in a 1CC. I decided to play Donkey Kong Country and Marble Madness instead. Nice progress everyone.

For some reason, I kept dying at level 30. I ended two runs there. I also felt like the extra lives were not awarded consistently. On my last run, I received an extra life at 500k and 1m points. But no more extra lives (regardless of how many were left) after that (final score over 4m points). On other runs, I'd get one in the 2m, 3m, or 4m range. There must be something to it that I missed. Either way, it's a fun game, but I'm happy to move on to something else.

Not likely

Odds of winning:
If the final game is a shooter -
Gloves - 90%
Bea or table - 8%
arnpoly - 2%
Anyone else - 0%

If the final game is anything else -
Bea or table - 90%
arnpoly - 9%
Anyone else - 1%

Assuming they survive the early rounds.  I have about 1-2 hours a week so I will most likely be one of the round one victims

Wow, way to sell me really short.  I thought we were friends!

Dude, you're a dad.  They are game-playing machines.  Unless it is a game you have already mastered like Battletoads, I have to give them a massive edge.

That is even more crazy to think knowing that Table is a dad too
