I'm not sure how to score Enduro? I went 247.2 miles. I was 91st in the second race.

Well if you beat them first, really is no worries for me.   I can follow your steps and get it back.

Like I said earlier in the thread, I'm fine with pointing out things or asking. I clearly didn't have all the facts when I started doing this.

I managed 168K last night at Food Fight and it felt like a stellar run. For you to casually belt out such a high score while taking shots, my god man, give it some more runs and break 1 million already!

Oh buddy... just for you I've been hard at work and have broken 1,000,000. I have a pic but a few lives remaining. Thanks for the push. This has been a lot of fun today. Edit: Oh my god... almost broke 2 million. On my last life avoiding enemies I walked straight into a hole. 1,966,000

that is amazing, man. I'm in awe. Congrats!

Probably won't touch Loxx' score any time soon, but that's OK. Something to strive for.

We can record the score on your Odometer (2,472 miles).... (91 is how many remaining cars you were required to pass in day 2 in order to continue to another day). To get the patch you have to make it day 5 or higher.

I saw that and thought that's gotta be some sort of world record! I popped over to Twin Galaxies to check.... Holy shit. Scott Drake got 28 million in 2002.

That's thousands?  I assumed it was only hundreds.  Good to know.

I actually assumed I had a bad score at first because of how easy I did it.  I guess I'm sort of a Food Fight rain man.

I'm assumimg it thousands... after driving day and night for 2 days, I would hope you got more than a couple hundred miles

Finally got the perfect wave!! Seems like the hardest part might be getting a picture of the screen before a ship divebombs you.

*Edit* did it again, and this time had my camera ready ahead of time.

I've already rolled Mousetrap once, about to do it a second time... I don't know how far I should go, its starting to get into "Laser Blast" levels of monotony at this point. I honestly don't think I will lose unless I die on purpose.

Edit: (I ended up just quitting after rolling the second time)

Since using my Pi I have learned that some of these Atari games are way easier on emulation. Last night my daughter was playing Sir Lancelot and she got down to one life left. She handed me the controller and said it was my turn. I doubled my previous high score with that one life starting from the first level.

I'll have to start posting scores again. I snapped a picture of that score from last night but I'm sure I can do better.

Somebody went to playing that game after talk of it in the other thread.

I'll probably play some Atari this weekend and try to get some more scores up. Maybe I'll post that Sir Lancelot score I got.

Were you drinking? I'm convinced that you're an Atari savant whilst drunk...

EDIT: the picture wasn't showing when I replied, so I assumed this was an older run you spoke of. Awesome!!

I added the pic to my previous post. Pretty sure I wasn't drinking and I was just playing the game with my daughter. Yeah... I guess there is just something about a few of these that just really click with me.

That's awesome.

I'm gearing everyone down for bed, and debated on Atari tonight but I think I'll give my Colecovision flashback some love this evening. I love the games on the CV but after my recent experiences with the 5200 I just can't stand the thought of another potentially flakey console. The flashback works just fine, albeit it's missing some crucial games...

I will give you that I generally do my best work while drinking. I stop thinking and just start doing. I can't play guitar for shit but most of my recordings on albums are from me drinking and nailing it in a single take. It lowers response time, I guess, but it also lowers the amount of time I'm wondering what I should do.

Still good enough for the #3  spot on Twin Galaxies.. but I know you can get #1 (btw, if you do plan to submit to them, they require video or a referee)

I could try. I have a Raspberry Pie now. I'm sure there is a way to capture footage on it. Or maybe just on my computer.

Don't know if my wife wants to stand over me doing cell phone footage of my actual Atari.

Has to be on original hardware, or it will only qualify as an emulation score (which is a separate category) They make cell phone tripods btw.
