I present to your attention a multi-platform game editor called CaD Editor, developed by spiiin, with which anyone can change the levels and location of objects in games that are supported by this editor:
Link on the Github: https://github.com/spiiin/CadEdit...

"Tiny Toon Adventures 6"

"Somari | Sonic The Hedgehog"

"Heavy Barrel"

"Kick Master"

Statistics on games (at the moment):
NES [NINTENDO ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM]
12 games-screen, block and object editors; all levels
103 games-screen and block editors, no object editor; all levels
21 games-screen and object editors, without object editor; 1 demo level
11 games-picture screen editors, the format of the blocks is not disassembled.
SMD [SEGA GENESIS]
10 games-screen and block editors
5 games-picture screen editors
GBA [GAME BOY ADVANCE]
1 game-picture screen editor, all levels
Total:
1705 configs of different levels for 163 games.

I'll watch later. Now I started picking Mad Max. So far, things aren't going smoothly, there are no donations, the author of the program is busy, and I don't have much time recently.
I don't even know when I can finish my settings for "Armadillo"

I realize you're not the author the software itself, but it has always just crashed for me after loading any config and any rom. I tried it some months ago, then tried it again when I saw Indivisible added.

Windows 10, the latest .NET framework (or at least... the .NET installer claims that.)

As well, I'll request you to not distribute the Indivisible ROM with your config file. Yes, it's a free game, but when people get it from my page I get useful analytics.

Finally, since it does crash for me, how clean is the editing for Indivisible? Can you edit the screen that's all one tile without changing others?

Error log: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

First, I want to correct you - the configs were made on the demo version of this game. I think it will be fair to provide a link to the developers site of each PD game. Secondly, I'm not a developer, but I can only advise you to run the program in compatibility mode in Windows 7 (max) or 8. If this doesn't help - wait for the developer's response (I already wrote to him about your problem). Third - I think it would not be superfluous to recall that the config should be opened together with the game for which it is intended. I downloaded "Indivisible" on this forum, the demo version, and it is logical to assume that the configs will not work with the full version of your game.
And four. I agreed to help the author to promote this project, because in recent years, the interest of users to the program has fallen to zero - I'm not talking about donations. All I can do is add levels and title screens from different games to this editor. But I won't do it forever, much less for nothing. When the number of games reaches 100 - I will stop supporting the editor for nothing.

P. S. Here is author answer about error on Windows 10: http://www.romhacking.net/forum/i...

You'll correct me? I wrote the game! It's not a demo version. That's all there's gonna be! It claims to be a prototype because it clones a game that is a prototype.

To be more specific, the ROM in this zip: http://www.emu-land.net/forum/ind... Is the same as the ROM on this page: https://kasumi.itch.io/indivisibl... Which is the full game. I am requesting you remove the ROM from the zip! That's all!

Unblocking the zip worked. If that's not somewhere in the documentation, it should be. If it is, I promise I looked!

The reason I was curious about Indivisible is because it's slightly less easy to edit than it looks. I was curious how much was handled here. So here's some info, it's up to you if any of it is worth fixing.

Indivisible's screen data is overlapped. There's a level with 6 screens. Each screen has 256 bytes. 256*6=1536 but the data only takes up 1403 bytes because they share data. This is why the screens in the 1-2 config in particular look jumbled.

Because of how it's currently loaded, editing a screen using this CAD Editor config can edit non screen data or data in an entirely different level. Looking at how it's arranged, it seems this luckily won't have any effects that will touch code. Editing Screen 18 in 2-2 will corrupt the graphics in one of the secret boss' attacks. It seems most of the other things you can do of this type will edit other levels. You're also technically missing a config for the room the secret boss is in.

The screen address lists start at $DF98.
6 low bytes (one for each level). 6 high bytes (one for each level). The first byte from each list gives you the address the low byte of where the screen addresses are for level 0.
6 low bytes (one for each level). 6 high bytes (one for each level). The first byte from each list gives you the address of the high byte of where the screen addresses are for level 0.
Loading the first byte from the first address you get from that will give you the low byte where screen 0 is. Loading the first byte from the second address you get from that will give you the high byte where screen 0 is.

I hope I got all the layers of indirection in there... With this info you can at least display the screens properly (and avoid non screen info being edited), but it won't really help with editing one screen and not editing others. (Changes can be made that make it impossible to overlap data in the same way, so you must either settle for certain changes changing two screens, or crashing into other data.)

Kasumi,
1)
Archive with config files for Indivisible were removed completely, because of the irrelevant. They had a problem with displaying the palette. The corrected version was published in a new editor's release.
2) I don't understand such subtleties. If I am not mistaken, the NES is capable of displaying screens 16х15, more just will not fit. These are the limitations of the platform: the maximum screen size is 256x224 pixels. In addition, the screens in this game are built with a certain shift, which this editor doesn't allow to properly arrange. I understand there are non-standard screens.
3) I could add the missing secret room if you make a FCEUX save file for me before this very room appears. I don't have enough time to look for her for hours. I can add it if it's in front of my eyes.
4) it Will be nice if you still try to follow the advice and unlock dll files.
P. S. soon there will be settings for SplatterHouse.

1. So long as the ROM itself is gone, I'm happy.
2. The NES Screen is 256x240, yes. But Indivisible scrolls in all four directions so its data doesn't respect the hardware screen size. Indivisible's levels are broken into 256x256 blocks of 16x16 metatiles of 8x8 tiles. I call the largest blocks screens, but I can see how that's confusing. My last post describes how to read them, but I forgot to say the 6 bytes after the lists are the banks for each level (Starting at $DFB0). Both provided addresses ($DF98 and $DFB0) refer to NES memory, not an offset in the ROM. The 256x256 block data is still overlapped, though, with all the editing problems that entails.
3. Ask and you shall receive. It's attached to this post. Just walk left.
4. I did. I said that worked in the last post.

Kasumi, I understand.
To add a secret room for your game, I will be able to do it tomorrow, after I have completed the Splatter House configs.

It's my pleasure.
By the way, the entire Ninja Gaiden trilogy has long been available for editing (so long as there are no enemies, but there is already something).
There are 9 more games to add.

Today I wanted to add Spelunker 2 - Yuusha heno Chousen. However, it was not so simple. The game is not easy enough, and there are no TAS for FCEUX. Therefore, I ask those who are familiar with this game to record the TAS or walkthrough for this emulator.
