Hi guys !

Thanks to all the ressources on this forum, I can share my first game with you tonight !
It's a simple "memory" game, for 1 or 2 players.
Nothing fancy, very simple, but it's working !!!

Next steps are :
 - add an option to play against the CPU
 - improve graphics
 - add sound FX and background music
 - ... move to another project

Thanks again, and feel free to share your thoughts about it.

17/07/2015 UPDATE (pairthepets-1.219.nes) :

- graphics improved (I'm not so good but it seems ok)
- musics and sounds added (thanks to Matt)
- animation effect on card selection

TODO :

- correct last bug, music looping
- add 1P vs CPU game mode

Nice job. I recommend taking out the possibility of 0 and O appearing at the same time because that crap was annoying. I was sure that I had it right! Haha.

Good job! Starting small and bringing the project to completion is definitely the way to go.

Congrats buddy! That's my next step. I'd like to move away from Hacks and into Homebrew. I am going to use the tutorials uploaded here. They seem simple enough.

Good luck!

I definitely agree with your approach: there is nothing that gives you the satisfaction of seeing things DONE, bug free, glitch free. No matter how little and simple they are, if completed, are better than anything else uncompleted.

That being said, you starting screen is extremely original and amazing to see on a NES. Especially considering this is your first NES project, I think is really impressive and shows great originality and skills.

Many refers to your tutorials lately, so I wonder now, besides the (valuable) material you gave me the link on your Google, is there anything else that you have published about NES programming?

Really Impressive! I like the new "animal" graphics!
Not a big fan of the fonts used for the title and the GameOver, but these are details.

Again, really nice project!
