Hey guys. New to the forum. I'm looking for places to buy NES games in the Chicago area. The only places I've found are Play It Retro, The Exchange, People Play Games and Rockstar Music & More. They're okay, but none of them have a ton to offer. I feel like there has to be somewhere else given the size of this city. Can anyone help?
While I'm not from Chicago, I can tell you that of all the stores I've been to around the greater Chicago area, I've yet to find a store with a better selection of items than People Play Games.  It's been about a year since I was there but unless they've changed a lot, the other shops should be smaller both in terms of overall inventory and console/handheld options available.

Rock Hill, SC has Joe's Video Games. Found it by accident while looking for G2K games. They repair and sell arcade cabinets, which was neat.

Can anyone tell me what a good place is for shipping to the EU? I'm a NTSC collector and it's difficult to come by NTSC games in Europe. I'm specifically looking for boxed GameCubes right now and I can't find them anywhere. Barely any on eBay too!!

So here's something you now know: If I were to go to Sam's Club and purchase 1 billion Kraft Singles ($7.42 / pack of 72), it would cost me $103,055,555.60!

Has anyone heard what's going on with We Got Game in Mankato, Minnesota?

I was over there to use my $200+ in credit and they were closed "for the day," I did a bit more digging and they've been closed since July 24th, but the store still has everything in it. I was there both on the 31st and the 1st, and no dice either day.

I have a feeling I might be SOL, just based on a lot of various factors.

It appears as if the We Got Game in Mankato MN is officially closed, and my trade credit is down the toilet.

They used too.

It closed up a while back, 4-5 months ago? They posted about it on Facebook, but they never stated why. It almost sounded like it happened overnight.

They've since deleted their Facebook page and their Twitter has been inactive since March (which is why I believe they've closed for good).

I'll check again next time I'm over there.

Sucks too, I had a ton of YuGiOh cards I wanted to unload and they were the only place I know of that would buy them.

Game Xchange in Waxahachie, Texas is my local store. They still have several locations in D/FW. Going strong as far as I can tell. I'm starting to think the owner is dropping off Atari 7800 games at the Waxahachie store on purpose. Before I would never see any. Then a few came in and I bought them up. Then a few more and so on. The last two I bought were Joust and Dark Chambers, each with several price tags stacked on them. Looking beneath the prices were higher previously. So these had to be sitting at other stores for a while before they made it here since I've been keeping tabs on their 7800 games for a while now. If I do have anything to do with it, I'm hoping they'll bring Ace of Aces next or maybe Ninja Golf. I'll scoop those up if the prices are decent.

How about this for a "PSA":

Include your country / state in your NA profile.

Not targetting you specifically, but I saw this and was like, "umm, ok". I could surely Google and find out which state has both of those cities, but still.

Having a state / country defined in your profile is really helpful for trades as well. If I knew going in that a seller was outside of the US, I won't bother PM'ing about a common game or two because the shipping would kill it and waste both of ours' time.

End rant.

Gucci. Really useful!

Here's a store I visit sometimes, https://www.facebook.com/RetroVid....

They have some good things, and the guy who runs the store is amazing.

E and L collectibles in Weymouth MA is gone now, I don't think they ever sold anything or got anything new in. At least their incessant Craigslist postings have ended.
