I've been busy preparing to move my store to its new location but took a break to sort out some production art materials for Outback Joey. I've owned these for years but this is the first time I've really had the chance to sit down and look at them.

There are also some images for a hockey game? Did they plan to release a Heartbeat Hockey game?

Not sure about the hockey game, but a few years ago there was listing for some motorcycle game with a box for this system. It was stated as a prototype, but it looked full production to me. I think Jason bought it... I can't recall the name of hand. Cool stuff!

Great stuff as usual, thanks for sharing! Also, glad they left the girl with the spandex instead of the guy

Looks like you are right Mark. This racing screenshot is credited as outworld, and it seems to match to a couple of the screenshots above, in the 4th pic, and I daresay the reflection in the visor on that last biking pic, as well.

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

Interesting, right after I posted that I clued in that the hockey pic above has a stylized "HB" (no doubt standing for Heartbeat) at center ice. The NHLPA 93 that was released on genesis looks to have "EASN" (electronic arts sports network?) at center ice:

So, it seems like we are dealing with an unreleased racing game and an unreleased hockey game which I guess would have been set up a little different for use with the bike. I dunno.

Do we know for sure it was unreleased? If the game was as rare as Joey it might have gone undetected all this time. Who bothers to check Sega sports games closely?

Yeah I don't know, and I see your point, there could be heartbeat hockey carts just sitting in boxes with people thinking its regular NHLPA 93 hockey.   Or maybe it never got released.   Tough to say.
