Not my auction, but technically one of the rarest things on Ebay right now: The very last Doc Louis Punch Out!!! Code for Wii.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Doc-Louiss-Pu...

I say it's the last one ever for good reason. Tomorrow the code expires forever, and this will never be available for use again. Having this game on your Wii will likely make your unit skyrocket in value in the coming years.

The price is right if you ask me, at $45 for something that you'll literally never get a chance to own again (without buying a Wii console at a likely outrageous price) I'd say that this is a steal.

Edit to add: Looks like he even has an Offer button on it... someone could probably get this bad boy for a cool $30.

Serious or troll?  I don't see much digital content being worth anything in the far future, especially when most people have their own hard drives with plenty of games they downloaded.  But to each their own, I do credit it as being "hot" now but only time will tell about the future.

I was being quite serious, it's Nintendo's first ever exclusive promo downloadable game. Firsts are always worth something down the line.

Digital content with no real hard copy to back it up. I don't think this will ever have a real collectors value. Just my personal opinion.

That actually brings me to another good point: as consoles break down, less and less copies of this game will be available. In my opinion, this will be quite desirable in the future.

Seeing how hacked the Wii is, wouldnt it be easy to backup this game in some kind of way?

This game can easily be played by installing it's pirated WAD (not that I endorse it). It won't be worth anything (IMHO).

Games are only collectable, because they are something physical you can hold. Digital content that can be downloaded and copied effortless, inevitable has little or no value to it. Buying a completely digital product is the equivalent to an extended rental, in the end you have nothing but a credit card bill to show for your purchase.

Always buying copies of Crystal Mine. Carts, manuals, boxes, CIB and sealed I want them all.

I think it's very funny that the code expires tomorrow, but in his listing he says he is going to mail it to the winner. Kinda sounds a bit fishy. He mails it out tomorrow, they get it in 3 days, try to install it, and he simply says, "Oops, guess the Post Office took too long. Sorry." Not saying he's intentionally scamming, though. Just looks a bit... odd.

I had to make sure I downloaded mine last night. I've been having the things since the day in came out and never grabbed it. I had a hell of a time updating my Shopping Channel as I haven't jumped on there in over a year and I have a hacked Wii and want to keep it that way to still play Tatsunoko import.

Yeah, I was lucky and bought a code earlier this month.  Totally worth it!

Even if it wasn't easy to pirate the game, I don't see it ever being worth much because there is no way to buy/sell it without the whole console. What happens when you have two digital only games but want to sell just one of them?

I also wouldn't risk my whole "collection" on one device that can just break down.
